Posting secrets
There is this great sight that a friend pointed out to me. People send in a postcard they have made themselves with a short but very straight forward message. It is a secret they have told no one before but need it said. If you are not ready to read what can go on in the mind of another then do not read. Some of what is said is painful, tarring me up inside. It is painful to see how hurt people are in this world. Then there are those who have seen that it is okay in the end. These secrets are put up anonymously. Which allows us to realize that we are not alone in the pains we may feel. People have been helped just by reading others painful secrets cause they see they are not alone after all. Some have even gained the strength to open their lives to those around them because of the secrets they have read. I think it is a great piece of growing art collaboration. It is a chance for the world to become a community again. For people to open up to those around them in a safe way. It is painful but I feel it can be healing as well.
